What a 2025 It Has Been! And Here's to Supporting Moms in 2026

As we close the chapter on 2025 and step into a brand new year, I find myself reflecting on what an extraordinary journey this has been—for The Shoshana, for the families we've served, and for our incredible team.

A Year of Growth, Love, and New Beginnings

This past year, we had the privilege of welcoming dozens of new mothers and their precious babies into our care. We celebrated first smiles, navigated sleepless nights together, supported breastfeeding journeys, and witnessed the beautiful transformation that happens when a mother is truly cared for during those critical early weeks postpartum.

We moved into our permanent home at The Delwyn, creating a warm, nurturing space where mothers can rest, recover, and bond with their babies while receiving expert support around the clock. Our team of postpartum doulas, lactation consultants, and newborn care specialists provided thousands of hours of care—but more than that, they provided compassion, wisdom, and the kind of support that changes lives.

We also expanded our reach through our partnership with Carrot Fertility, making our services accessible to more families through employer benefits. This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to ensure that comprehensive postpartum care isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.

Why This Work Matters More Than Ever

Here's what we know: the fourth trimester is one of the most vulnerable, transformative, and often overlooked periods in a woman's life. Our culture celebrates pregnancy and birth, but what happens after? Too many mothers are sent home from the hospital with a newborn and expected to figure it out on their own—exhausted, healing, and often struggling.

At The Shoshana, we reject that narrative. We believe every mother deserves:

  • Expert support from professionals who understand postpartum recovery, infant care, and lactation

  • Rest and nourishment so her body can heal and she can be fully present with her baby

  • Community and connection because no mother should feel alone

  • Peace of mind knowing her baby is safe, cared for, and thriving

When we support mothers, we're not just helping one person—we're supporting entire families. We're helping parents build confidence, strengthening marriages, supporting older siblings, and setting babies up for healthy development from day one.

The Stories That Keep Us Going

Every thank you note, every tear of relief, every mother who tells us "I don't know what I would have done without you"—these are the moments that fuel our mission. We've watched mothers arrive exhausted and overwhelmed, and leave with renewed strength, confidence, and joy. We've seen the transformation that happens when a woman is given permission to rest, to heal, and to focus solely on bonding with her baby while experts handle everything else.

One of our moms this year told us, "For the first time since giving birth, I felt like a person again—not just a feeding machine." Another shared, "You gave me the gift of actually enjoying my baby instead of just surviving." These words remind us every single day why we do what we do.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into this new year, we're filled with gratitude and renewed purpose. We're committed to serving even more families, expanding our services, and continuing to advocate for a world where postpartum care is prioritized, accessible, and normalized.

We're excited to continue building our team of exceptional caregivers, deepening our community partnerships, and creating more opportunities for mothers to experience the kind of postpartum period they deserve—one filled with support, rest, and joy.

Here's to 2026

To the mothers who will cross our threshold this year: we can't wait to meet you and your babies. We're here for the midnight feedings, the breastfeeding challenges, the questions you're afraid to ask, and the moments of pure magic. We're here to make sure you don't just survive postpartum—you thrive.

To our team: thank you for showing up with excellence, compassion, and heart every single day. You are changing the world, one family at a time.

To our supporters, partners, and everyone who believes in our mission: thank you for making this work possible. Together, we're building a better postpartum experience for all mothers.

2026, we're ready for you. Let's make it a year of rest, recovery, and radiant motherhood. 🤍

With gratitude and hope,
